The Opportunity – Build the Future with Us

Join WSP’s Municipal Infrastructure team as an Intermediate Technologist, where your technical expertise will help shape sustainable communities across British Columbia. Based in our Victoria, BC office, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of municipal and land development projects—from early planning through to detailed design—while collaborating with a close‑knit, high‑performing team.

Your Impact

  • Design and draft municipal infrastructure and land development projects from concept through completion utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Prepare engineering drawings that meet established standards such as MMCD, PSPC, and local municipal requirements.
  • Design assistance.
  • Develop grading and earthworks models and complete quantity take‑offs to support accurate project delivery.
  • Translate preliminary concepts and sketches into detailed engineering designs and construction plans.
  • Collaborate with engineers and technologists to meet project objectives, schedules, and quality standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The Skills That Set You Apart

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in AutoCAD drafting and design, with mandatory proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from an accredited college or university.
  • Registered with or eligible for registration with ASTTBC or another recognized technical accreditation body.
  • Advanced working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D for civil infrastructure applications.
  • Ability to quickly understand and apply local development bylaws and municipal regulations.
  • Experience working with supporting software such as Microsoft Office and Bluebeam Revu.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage tasks independently.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills in a collaborative environment.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $77,400 – $102,500
MB & ON: $70,600 – $97,200
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $69,900 – $92,900
