This is a Full‑time, Permanent role based at our Vancity head office and will report directly to the Senior Manager, Corporate Security. While this position provides a hybrid work arrangement, you will be expected to be on‑site for events and business demands. • Providing senior‑level presence through branch visits and direct engagement with employees
  • Leading security awareness, training, and capability‑building initiatives across the organization
  • Strengthening organizational preparedness by collaborating with business continuity and emergency response teams

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • Completion of a post‑secondary education in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security Management, or a related field
  • A minimum of 7–10 years of progressive experience in law enforcement, corporate security, or complex investigations
  • Demonstrated experience leading sensitive, high‑impact investigations with sound judgment and discretion
  • Strong knowledge of physical security risk assessment methodologies and internal threat management practices
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and provide clear, strategic security advice
  • Experience working closely with law enforcement agencies and external security partners
  • Relevant professional certifications such as CPP, CFE, or equivalent security or investigative designations

Extra Skills That Set You Apart:

  • Experience within financial services or other highly regulated environments
  • Background in enterprise risk management or fraud and security programs
  • Advanced training in interview techniques or threat assessment

You’ll Thrive Here If You Are:

  • Judicious – trusted to manage highly sensitive investigations with discretion and sound judgment.
  • Analytical – skilled at identifying patterns, assessing risk, and translating insights into action.
  • Collaborative – effective at building strong relationships across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Composed – calm and confident when responding to complex, high‑pressure security incidents.

We value lived experience, so if you are interested in this role, we encourage you to apply even if you feel your skills don't perfectly align with those listed.
