Chef Designate We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Chef Designate to support our culinary leadership team and prepare for future growth into a Chef role. This position is ideal for a strong culinary leader who is ready to take the next step in their career while developing the skills needed to lead kitchen operations, build high-performing teams, and deliver exceptional guest experiences. As Chef Designate, you will work closely with the Chef and restaurant leadership team to support daily culinary operations, uphold food quality standards, coach team members, and contribute to the overall profitability and culture of the restaurant. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will: Support the Chef in leading daily culinary operations at a high level Help train, coach, and develop culinary team members Role model positive culture, hospitality, urgency, and professionalism Support scheduling, station execution, prep standards, and shift leadership Maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, cleanliness, and consistency Assist with inventory, ordering, food cost controls, labour awareness, and waste reduction Identify high-potential team members and support their growth Step into leadership responsibilities as needed and prepare for future Chef opportunities Key Requirements 2+ years of culinary leadership experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment Strong understanding of kitchen operations, food quality, prep systems, and execution Developing business sense around food cost, labour, inventory, and scheduling Passion for coaching, training, and building strong teams Positive, energetic, ambitious, and solution-focused Strong communication skills and the ability to lead by example Desire to grow into a Chef or senior culinary leadership role Opportunities With our company, you will have the chance to: Build the leadership skills required to become a Chef Learn directly from experienced culinary and senior restaurant leaders Grow your career in a rapidly expanding company Attend leadership development seminars and conferences Explore opportunities to support new restaurant openings across Canada and the USA
